Creative Oak

Santé Beverage Supply offers Creative Oak, makers of the industry’s finest oak alternatives. Our meticulous control over the entire oak alterative process includes wood sourcing, flavor chemistry, and precision toasting. Creative Oak products are available in convenient styles for both tanks and barrels and are produced in our own California facility. Each product features Center of France oak air-dried for a minimum of two years. With Creative Oak, you’re assured of achieving your desired flavor profile case after case, year after year.

 

All of our alternatives are available in both fire toasts and convection toasts. Fire toast adds the complexity of a barrel. Convection toasts is our own recipe that yields specific flavor profile of:

  • Butterscotch – Sweet, smooth complex butterscotch, dulce de leche and candied syrup notes.
  • Coconut – Velvety coconut and rich macadamia nut flavors.
  • Extreme Caramel – Rich, sticky flavors of bubbling sugar, caramel apple and crème brulee.
  • Vanilla – Soft vanilla extract and vanilla bean notes.
  • Extreme Vanilla – Clean, smooth flavors of vanilla extract, like French vanilla ice cream.
  • Spicy – Intriguing anise and delicate ginger interwoven with notes of star anise and cinnamon sticks.
  • Smokey – Gripping, substantial notes of coffee bean, dark chocolate, hickory and bacon.
  • Medium – A classic and light toast that imparts a sweet harmony of coconut, creamy vanilla and yeasty grilled bread notes.
  • Medium Plus – A slightly heavier toast that imparts a traditional, timeless blend of vanilla and roasted almonds with hints of marzipan, amaretto, cloves and nutmeg.

The smaller size of bagged squares speeds up flavor uptake and tannin integration, yet avoids “pencilly” and “brown paper bag” characteristics often associated with excessive exposure to end-grain.
