The wife and I went to Robert Mondavi’s winery on our one year wedding anniversary, and we’ve been big fans ever since! Mondavi pioneered this varietal, taking Sauvignon Blanc and aging a portion of it in oak barrels to impart richness and complexity. This 2015 Fumé Blanc adds rich layers of fruit to Sauvignon Blanc’s mouthwatering freshness. Lemon crème, vine-ripened white peach and guava are joined by a subtle yet intriguing hint of ginger on a creamy wave of flavor. This is a perfect bottle of wine for a summer night!
